ACTIVATE Career Readiness Program

What is ACTIVATE?

Enrollment is open for a new, no-cost college and career readiness program aimed at reducing barriers for those who need additional assistance to become Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) correctional officers. This six-week course will provide hands-on help with meeting the physical and educational standards for ADOC correctional officers. This also allows the participants to get paid as a COT while in training and receiving college credit. Upon completing the six-week course, participants will attend the 10-week APOSTC Academy where they will have the opportunity to earn certified law enforcement officer status.
